 Are you able to work with people on a one-to-one basis or a small group?

Then why not become a Digital Champion in your local community?

This could involve things like:

· Teaching someone to use the internet and Google

· Showing a beginner how to set up an email account

· Helping someone to use their smartphone & apps

· Explaining computer terms and internet jargon

In return, you’ll get:

o Rewards and awards! You’ll receive CPD-accredited Certificates for each Digital Champion course you complete

o The opportunity to develop your own skills and knowledge about digital technology

Your local energy experts - the Green Doctors - are offering you a free home energy telephone consultation to help you maintain a healthy and comfortable home and save money on your energy bills.

During the consultation, the Green Doctor can offer advice on how to:

- Save money on your energy bills

- Switch energy provider to save money

- Access the Priority Services Register

- Access the Warm Homes Discount

- Apply for grants for energy and water debt

- Refer you to other services within your local area for additional support

Smart meters*

Have you heard about the Smart meter roll-out? Smart meters are the next generation of gas and electricity meters. They’re currently being installed in homes across Great Britain at no extra cost, to replace traditional meters. During the consultation the Green Doctor can share information on smart meters and the in-home display (IHD) - including how they could help you find ways to reduce energy waste around home and save money. The Green Doctor will also let you know how to request one.

This service is available for all households in the London Borough of Lambeth, through the South London Healthy Homes scheme, if they meet one of the following criteria:

o on low income or

o over 65s or

o those with long term health conditions or disabilities

o or with children under 5

To book a free telephone consultation with one of our Green Doctors who can provide tailored advice, you can:
