We were delighted to attend the Ageing Well Festival on Saturday 30 September at the Kia oval hosted by Lambeth Council. The event was aimed at Lambeth residents aged 50 and over. There were many local voluntary and community groups present, hosting stalls and promoting their services and activities, and we were one of those. The event celebrated the contribution older residents make to Lambeth. It marked the International Day of Older People, and Lambeth’s commitment to becoming an Age Friendly Borough, where Lambeth residents can live a full and active life as they get older. Around 325 people attended. It was a fantastic event and a good time was had by all! Particular highlights were the Divatones Choir, the keep fit sessions, the delicious lunch, and the tea dance which closed the event.
